I’ve been meaning to get working on this blog, set everything up nicely, link my writing, and so forth. Unfortunately, I’ve been spending the past few days caught up in the saga of my left elbow.

This is me on Saturday evening, tripping blithely off into the evening to go have Thai food and see a movie.  I’m even trying to wear remotely fetching maternity wear.

It was a theoretically “good” day, MS-wise.  I had some energy, and something like a spring in my step.  Of course, it took me awhile to realize that I was also weaving like a drunk–something I never seem to see, even when everyone else around me is saying “What’s wrong with you?”  Halfway down East 9th street I went flying… I can’t even say I tripped over anything, because the truth is I just sort of spun around, then went CRACK.  Or rather, my left elbow did.

Emergency-room city.

After it was determined to be a fracture, they gave me a splint that held my arm bent at an angle, a sling, and a cane tall enough for my 6′2″ husband.

I was still keeping it together a few hours later in my in-laws’ kitchen.

Nonetheless, this has delayed my having any sort of productive life.  I’ll try to make it back here later.
