So yeah. Those steroids? Did a whole lot of nothing.
Except make me feel like crap and angry and hungry and stuff.
The new symptoms I’m having point to something going on with the spine–a new one for me. Basically, I can’t feel my legs and feet, except in that they’re pin-and-needly. I can move them, and walk… but not feel temperature. It’s weird.
I thought the steroids would bring them back.
Didn’t happen.

more steroids
So what now?
Lyrica, maybe? Neurontin? More pills?
I just want to graduate and get out of here.

Sorry about the steroids not working. I had the numb from the waist down thing last time with poor, robot-style walking and the steroids had only a small effect for me. I went kind of nuts on them and and didn’t sleep for 10 days. They worked in the past, so it was a huge letdown.
I’m so sorry that you did not have better results. I got feeling back over time, but 1.5 yrs.later, my feet still suck. But I’m thankful.
Rebif has worked well for me, though. Free of exacerbations and MRI showed a few of the brain stem lesions shrunk. Yahoo. I hope you find something that works for you.
It took me **forever** to graduate, but I did do it. There is nothing like that kind of relief. Nothing. Here’s hoping you get there this spring.
Your blog is brilliant and beautiful. Glad to see it again. Thanks for posting it. Peace and power to you, Hala.

Sorry your not better. Did you take oral or IV steroids? My mother knows a guy who took oral with little result but then did the IV and now he’s getting better. Just a thought…

Sorry things are such crap. Can only say that I’m thinking of you and that in my experience, Lyrica rocks. Hope they’ll do the same for you.

Ugh – sorry to hear about the steroids and then them not working. I wish I could help.
